Halloween 2011
Halloween is a kids dream holiday. Does it get any better than dress up and buckets of candy? The kiddos are thinking life is pretty good as they now get to consume their spoils. We dressed up lots in October, for our "trunk or treat" at the church and school. By our Halloween party that night the kids were all done with costumes, but had tons of fun with their friends. We had chili and corn bread for dinner and a cake walk and donuts on a string game. It got to dark for our treasure hunt, we'll have to plan better next time. Overall it has been celebrating fall and Halloween!

Bridget if officially 2!
Our little baby girl is two years old! She loved the attention and presents. She also loved the candles and cake. Notice her attire . . . Bridget is not much in to clothes these days. Because it is 110 outside I don't fight her, may as well stay cool :) Bridget is such a fun-spirited little girl with such zest for life. She loves her toy kitchen and enjoyed getting more utensils for it. She loves shoes and got a fun dress and nighty. We love you little Biddy and hope you have a wonderful journey to three . . .

Our summer of birthday's continue . . . sweet Jenny turned 5 today! She is so grown up and ready to start school! We enjoyed lots of yummy food she picked out and enjoyed watching her open her presents. She got a mail box and pink spray paint to work on with Dad to go outside her play house. She also got a new pink bike helmet and a horn for her bike! She really wants to work on her two-wheeler skills! We love you Jenny, happy 5th!

1,000 Miles
I did it . . . I clocked 1,000 miles on my jogging stroller this morning! Yeah! I have had my eye on this bench mark for the last couple hundred miles. Today was the day! This stroller has been through a lot, multiple flats, mutliple sets of tires, broken straps . . . but it keeps on chugging! I am especially grateful to the babes who have been so good on on those runs and walks for me. They must know that I am such a better mom after I get some exercise! They are very well rewarded with fun snacks and stroller toys but I am truly thankful they have been such good sports! I got this stroller in August of 2007, but didn't get my fun computer until December 2008. So, clocked 1000 miles in three years and just over 4 months! I am happy with that accomplishment!

Toliet Surprise
Bridget loves to put whatever she can in the toliet. She closes the lid after she has hidden whatever happened to be her lateset victim and leaves the scene. I went to use the bathroom and lifted the lid to find Ian's shoes. What you can't see that I uncovered later were a sock and multiple crayons too! Bridget you keep us laughing!

Pima County Fair
Ian's FABULOUS teacher, Mrs. Burke, got their class entries into the rock art contest at the Pima County Fair. The theme was insects. The rocks were on display at the fair though we never got to see them. Brian and Ian worked on Ian's together and they were so creative. Ian really wanted a scorpion, didn't they do a great job! Ian came home from school with a first place ribbon and a sweet, humble, "yeah, I won" said like "yeah I brushed my teeth, Mom" Figures a kid like Ian would win because he doesn't really care about winning or losing he just enjoys the journey! What a great kid! Way to go Ian!

Easter
I love Easter sunday! I am so thankful for the opportunity to remember my Savior and all He has done for me. I also really enjoying teaching the kids about why we celebrate Easter! We try to make Easter really special with really yummy food and lots of time together as a family. This year our menu for breakfast included: Eggs Au Gratin, English muffins and canadian bacon, hash browns, and empty tomb rolls (rolls with a marshmallow inside dipped in butter and rolled in cinnamon and sugar). It was such a yummy breaky! For dinner we had spiced pork tenderloin, steamed brocoli and mashed potatoes with strawberry cream-puff cake for dessert! Lots of cooking but it was well worth it! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the fabulous food!
Since we tried to focus on spiritual stuff today we did all our fun Easter stuff the week before. We made sugar cookies, did a fun Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's and did Easter Baskets. I love watching the kids find easter eggs. It is so magical for them! This being Bridget's first Easter she could really participate, it was extra fun to watch her. It did not take her long to figure out how to open those little plastic eggs and did she ever love eating the contents! She was in heaven!
