Tangled Party

Tangled is finally out on DVD! We loved this movie in the theater and couldn't wait to add it to the collection. So, to celebrate we had a Tangled Party. First we decorated popcorn containers, then, for dinner we had a braid stuffed with yummy chicken stuff (that was inspired by Rapunzel's braid) then we hung up our "lantern lights" (inspired by the floating lanterns in the movie) We had so much fun as a family. What a great show!

Grandpa is Retiring

We got to go celebrate Grandpa Roger retiring for the Tucson Fire Department. He served the city for 27 years as a fire fighter and engineer. We are so thankful for his example of hard work and dedication. If was so neat to hear everyone praise him for the amazing person that he is. The kids enjoyed getting out of school a bit early to go to the fire station and they got to have eegees and cake! What a fun time it was! Love you Grandpa!

We tried to take some Spring pictures of the kiddos. I wonder why looking at the camera and smiling is so hard when demanded by parents. The kids tried hard but were more concerned that Mommy was "wasting their play time at the park." Way to push through and humor your mother kids. I epsecially love Bridget's smile right now. You say "smile" or "cheese" and that is what she does. Kids . . . they keep us smilin!

Eggs

What do you get when you cross Bridget with a brand new carton of 1-dozen eggs? 12 scrambled eggs on the floor of course! Note to self, it only takes a sec for that little one to find trouble-Never turn your back!!!!! Guess we'll have more oatmeal instead of eggs this week! Bridget, we all love you even though you are such a handful right now! We especially love your cheesy smile!

Jenny went crazy on the water slide. She is our party animal. Always willing to take an adventure and have fun. She definitely doesn't let any fear get in the way of having a good time! It was so cute to watch her little body float down the slide like a little fairy!

Hailey likewise was in on the action every second. She played until her skin was chapped from so much playing and even then played some more!

There was no better way to end spring break than with some giant sized fun at Uncle Chris and Aunt Lynette's house in Mesa. This was our first time at their new house. It is a beautiful home with grass!!! They had a huge water slide and obstacle course that kept the kids (oh and grown-ups) entertained for hours. We had a lovely picnic dinner outside and soaked up the spring weather and family time! We were only in the car 2-minutes before Brian and I had a silent ride home. What a fun day.

Brian's Hair

Brian has been growing out his hair since the end of the summer. (Crazy firefighter games :) He finally decided it was time for a cut. What a lot of Hair! I love you with hair or without, you are just the BEST!

Jenny's First Dance Class

Jenny has been requesting to take a dance class for a long time now and the perfect one popped up. Here are a few pics from her first class. Her class is only on Mondays, she is now learning the days of the week because she wishes everyday was Monday :) I love to watch her, she is such a great listener and tries her best to do just what her teacher asks.

St. Patrick's Day

We had lots of fun on St. Patty's since the kids were home for spring break. The morning started off of course with green eggs and ham. The afternoon included some games at Grandma's with mint milkshakes and pretzel bites. Then for dinner we had bread bowls and creamy soup with Green Jello, Green Lemonade and Green Pistachio Cupcakes. The kids were very into Pinching anyone in a close radius that was not wearing green. I had to control them on a quick walmart run so random strangers didn't receive pinches. And, it was voted on by Hailey that if you only wear green underwear you may get pinched anyway. We had a fun day! It is fun to be starting holiday traditions. I love how special holidays and birthdays are for the kiddos! Easter is right around the corner.
